There seem to be no instructions and it is not intuitive. If you search help for the simplest thing like “split video” “how to split video” you get nothing. I messed around with it for a half hour then gave up. Waste of money. When i did choose a spot in the video and tell it to split, it was very slow to split it and what that does is cut the video in 2… fine for people who just want to take one big chunk out of a video, but if you want to trim out some parts and keep other parts, this is too slow and awkward and complicated. ….

There is a program called Avidemux which does basic simple editing very well, trim out the parts you don’t want and keep the parts you do want with no quality loss - it works on Mac. However it does not handle WMVs and some other formats… this program “video merge & split" is pitiful…. if the people who wrote it can’t even bother to give you a few simple steps re how it works, that’s sad. ———

Apple’s tips for writing a great review here say “keep reviews short…” —— I think that is a mistake and apple should retract it — it is actually very helpful if reviewers give detailes about what the program does and does not do —— that would help people avoid programs that don’t perform, like this.
